Lessy searches, responds and negotiates on your behalf. You decide on every home yourself. This is how it works, step by step.
Seven steps to your new home
Most of it runs automatically. You only step in where your choice matters.
Tell us what you want
Where you want to live, what you want to pay and when you want to move. It takes a few minutes.
Sign your search agreement
You choose Lessy or Lessy Plus and sign online. It sets out exactly what Lessy does for you and what it costs, with the statutory 14-day cooling-off period.
Build your tenant file, once
You upload your documents, such as an employer’s statement and payslips, to your own secure space. Lessy checks that everything is complete.
Get homes that fit
Lessy searches public listings, letting agents and its own network. When a home fits, you get an email saying why, and what to look out for. You have 24 hours to reply; weekends don’t count.
Respond and view
Want to see it? With one click, Lessy responds on your behalf, with your tenant file. You arrange the viewing with the landlord. With Lessy Plus, someone from Lessy comes along.
Offer and agreement
Lessy presents your rental offer on your behalf and negotiates the start date and terms. Once you agree, Lessy looks over the lease, energy label and points calculation with you.
Sign and move in
You sign the lease with the landlord. Only then do you pay Lessy’s fee, once.

Lessy is the rental agent of the tenant. That shapes how we work.

- When several clients fit one home, a fixed rule, set in advance, decides who hears first.

- Once you and the landlord agree, we look over the lease, energy label and points calculation you receive from the landlord, and explain what they mean for you.

Questions
What is a search agreement?
Before we start, you sign a search agreement online. It sets out what we do for you and the fee. It runs for 6 months and you can cancel it free of charge at any time, with the statutory cooling-off period.
Do I pay if I find a home myself?
No. You only pay for a lease on a home that Lessy proposed to you, also if you sign it within 6 months of the proposal. Without a lease, there is nothing to pay.
Can I say no to a home you propose?
Yes, always. You decide which homes you go for. Saying no has no consequences for your search.
What happens to my personal details?
Your details are only shared with a landlord with your consent, per home. Read more in our privacy statement.
How does Lessy use AI?
Lessy uses AI for the whole search: matching, explaining, your tenant file, your rental offer and looking over the lease. The AI is built and steered from years of experience in the field. A fixed rule decides who hears about a home first, the landlord chooses their tenant, and you can always ask a person to take a look.
